STEAM noodle cafe 286 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230

"On a cold day like today, I was hoping for a hot soup so my friends and I stopped by this place. I have ordered a shoyu ramen. The soup was luke-warm and had no “shoyu” (which is a soy sauce based broth) the chicken was rubber and the entire ramen had a taste of water with vegetables in it. My friends were not impressed either. Goyoza was terrible. If you are hoping for asian food, please search for another place - this is a disgrace to asian cuisine. I took a photo below right before we left - very disappointed. EDIT: This is not my first ramen, also I have just returned from Japan so I know how shoyu ramen should taste."

"Tried to make a to go order and was left on hold for 15 minutes, so decided to drive over. The servers were friendly and attentive, but the food itself was terrible. I ordered the chicken curry puffs as starters, but there was no actual chicken in them. The ramen was shockingly bland. I ordered a spicy ramen and there wasn't a hint of spice. The meat was similarly unseasoned. The only part of the dish that was seasoned was the egg and it tasted like it was steeped in soy sauce overnight. I don't leave reviews often, but this was such a terrible experience I felt obligated to warn others"

"Another gem in Great Barrington, fantastic ramen(spicy tonkustu) and steamed buns (Pork) the waitstaff and owner were very friendly and the space was welcoming."

"I've been wanting to go to a noodle bar for the longest time, and I finally was able to stop by steam noodle Cafe in Great Barrington. The atmosphere was pretty nice. A little Cozier, then I'm used to hearing everybody's conversations, including mine. The wait staff were very attentive and fast. Our food came out within 15 minutes. I ordered the summer roll, which was phenomenal. I also ordered a beef broth Noodle Bowl. that's not the proper name, but it was pretty good for my first time. No complaints."

"Top notch tom yum noodle soup and pho. We drove in from Northampton cause we’re tired of the restaurants here. Steam was excellent. We also had the summer rolls and they were the best we’ve had outside of New York or Boston. The service was fantastic and we have leftovers for dinner too! We will be back! Thanks so much for your delicious menu and dishes!"
