About the Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre
The Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre is a nonprofit organization located at 309 East 4th Street in New York, New York. The institution receives public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, with additional support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Materials for the Arts, and Maturity Works. Directed by Vit Horejs, the theatre presents adaptations of classic stories such as "Good Soldier Svejk and His Fortunes in the First World War" and "Naptime Stories for the Absurd Times," featuring Christmas Carol, Oy Hanukkah, and Merry Kwanzaa. Don't miss the world premiere of "Dvořák in America" at La MaMa E.T.C. from March 10 to 27, 2016.
