Mexico Lindo Restaurant

"I am Latino and have been to many small family owned restaurants. The food took a long time to come. The chips were cold. When I went up to the counter the chips were sitting in an open container with a staff member eating their meal right on top of it. I got a burrito that was probably the same size as a Taco Bell burrito with less filling. Had to pay separate for rice and beans- which is basic in any Mexican restaurant. Salsa for chips was served cold in a plastic to-go container. To be honest when you go out to eat you expect at least silverware. We were served with paper plates and plastic cups. I was not offered a cup for my soda and drank from the can! Feels like a food-truck experience so I would hardly call it a restaurant. Prices were unreasonable for paper plates, plastic silverware, and cups, oh and small portions (not typical in Mexican restaurants nor any Latino one). Will not be returning. The food and experience was much better when they were in the small establishment in Manchester. Reply to the owner- So you expect customers to go on social media before going to a restaurant? Do you do that when you go out? My elementary school child noticed how empty it was when we walked in and wondered why his small taco was taking so long. Concerned how you clean the pots and pans you cook with if you don’t have a proper way to sanitize??? THE CALIFORNIA BURRITO HAD NO RICE AND BEANS INSIDE SO I GOT CHARGED EXTRA FOR RICE AND BEANS- your statement is false. I would advise TELLING your customers what to expect if you are providing a less than satisfactory STANDARD dine-out experience. Serving size was robbery for what you charge. The waitress was most attentive when I was paying and hovering while I was trying to figure out the tip. Also yes the container you had for the chips was about 16 inches tall and OPEN TO AIR, not covered, and people should not be eating anywhere near it. Her black container of food was about 6 inches from the chips container when I had to walk up to get my receipt. You say you were short staffed but there was 4-5 people at the counter when I left. Advise- apologize, don’t lie, and don’t make excuses. Do better."

"It’s sad to have to give a two star review to a sweet family who seems to be working hard. Unfortunately, you can’t make it in business with just being nice. The value for what you get is simply not there. Tacos consisted of equal amounts of meat and raw onions with a sprinkle of cilantro. No cheese, no lettuce, no tomatoes. All disposable plates, cups & silverware makes this less than a dining experience. Wanted to love it, but won’t be back."

"Fantastic little hidden gem, with delicious authentic Mexican food! While the building itself is nothing terribly fancy (expect paper plates and plastic tableware) the amazing food and quality service is not to be missed! We tried a carnitas burrito, which was STUFFED full of slow roasted and flavorful pork, and a combo plate (highly recommend the tortas and gorditas), both of which felt home cooked and delicious. The wait staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, to the point it almost felt like eating dinner at a friend's house vs. an establishment. Even the basic sides of rice & beans were made in house and tasted delicious. Don't let the low key interior fool you; this is a great spot for a quick lunch or family dinner!"

"So glad I stopped in! The people were so sweet. The service was fast and the food was so good. I love how it does not feel crowded in there at all. The seating is comfortable and well spaced. The decor is welcoming and colorful yet simple and not too overwhelming. The music was calm and quiet. I will definitely come again and bring the family."

"Honestly one of our favorite authentic Mexican places. Went here all the time before they moved to Vernon, and we're so happy they opened up again! Food is delicious and the new place is much bigger with lots of tables. Excited to come by often for lunch and dinner dates! As of posting they are just opening up. Plastic plates and cups are temporary, but don't detract from the food quality."
