"Fine place for Chinese in a pinch. Service was great! Prices weren’t bad at all, the off set was portions were slightly smaller than I’ve seen at other Chinese restaurants. If you get the general tso chicken be aware that it’s spicy maybe spicier than you’d normally find. Chicken lo main was nothing special for the extra 3 bucks (approx) I’d prob go without it as a side next time. Conclusion- it was a fine place to go to in a pinch, while it likely won’t be my go to spot going forward, it’s a solid back up"
"Walked in today the food spelled freshed. Received my food the boneless spare ribs was perfectly made and tasty the general tso chicken was good and tasty the rice was fresh ! Definitely the best I have tasted in Cromwell !!!"
"I’d been to Moon Star a couple of times before but always found the food average. I decided to give it another try since I’d never had their orange chicken before. The lunch special is a good deal for the amount of food you get (they added a generous portion of orange chicken). Although the owners are very nice and friendly (one of the things I like the most about this place), I don’t think I’ll be returning in a long time. Something about the food made me feel sick. I don’t know if it was the greasiness or something that was wrong with it. It didn’t go light on my stomach. The orange chicken has a lot of sauce with intense orange flavor including rinds that sometimes felt too strong. The rice tasted too greasy and its portion was a little smaller than expected. I do not recommend ordering the wonton soup as a lunch side, it had a funky smell and the wontons were not appetizing at all, even less if you take a look at the mystery meat inside them. I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend this place, but if you’re looking for an average cheap lunch that is filling it’s a good option."
"Tried this place and the sesame chicken tastes pretty good. Nice lil crunch but still tender. The house lo mein is tasty but is light on ingredients in my opinion. The Crab Rangoon appetizer...don't get. The meat is minimal compared to how big it is. Not worth it at all. Egg roll is small compared to other places but not too bad. Store was ok, had some visible wear on the floor tiling. Overall ok experience. I would go here if I was in a pinch, but not my first option as there are better options around."
"Better than almost any Chinese Restaurant that I have ever been to! To include New York City. Get the hot and sour soup and the teriyaki skewers! Could do without the candy dispensers."
