Boqueria West Hartford

"Ohhhh Boqueria.. we are so glad that you found a home in West Hartford. We have since dined twice at that location and we appreciate the overall experience. The first time we went was during our anniversary in Oct 2023 and we just came from a horrible experience at a different dining establishment, it was also the first week that Boqueria was open and so we went in on a Sunday afternoon and it was a perfect time to sit at the bar and just take it all in. While the servers and bartenders were finding their way, they were still very much on top of Service, and also very kind. The ambience gives me fun very New York vibes and the food is pretty great. When we went the second time, I will say what I really appreciated was the chefs tasting menu. The amount of food you get for the price is very reasonable. The server made sure to ask about any food allergies, what we liked, what we didn't like, and was able to customize a dining experience to those preferences. And there was much more food than we knew what to do with, and that made us very very happy The drinks are great and they have a pretty extensive menu. If you were looking for a diverse and tasty food experience with great cocktails this is the place to go. The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is that we are from EU (Portugal/Spain) and it's really hard to compare once you experience the origin of tapas from those countries. I would say we liked eight or nine out of 10 of the things that we would order and that's OK that's the tapas experience.. you get to try a little bit of everything, and everyone will find something to enjoy."

"Warm and comfortable ambiance. Great food, electric atmosphere, and friendly service. Definitely recommended. There are so many options to choose from. A great addition to sought-after eateries/restaurants. Even the bottled water was an experience. It's a great option for date night. Bravo!"

"On a busy Friday night our table was ready for us right at the time our reservation was scheduled. Greeted promptly and professionally by our server Ashley, walked us through the drink menu and dinner menu efficiently and knowledgeably. Which was followed up with stellar drinks and amazing food. Amazing experience for an awesome date night! 10/10 will be back 10/10 will recommend"

"CONSISTENCY is what you’ll find at Boqueria WEHA. You will also find an elevated quality of food, ambience and service. Matt and Pablo were phenomenal— we felt like special guests every second we were there. Highly recommend this superb Spanish tapas-style restaurant. It’s a carbon copy of the Manhattan location. Exquisite!"

"Decor is nice. Service is decent. Food is meh and drinks were disappointing. Paella was over cooked, old fashioned was the smallest volume served with small ice in a large glass. Spanish tortilla served refrigerator temperature. Hanger steak with no salt or significant seasoning. Patatas bravas were bland. Some dishes missing their accompaniments. When wait staff questioned on food they responded “that’s how it comes.” Music moderately loud. Power even went out while we dined, although it was for a brief moment. I encourage the owner to dine at The Charles in old Wethersfield, Treva in West Hartford. The food has a long way to go if they hope to stay open for business in West Hartford in the future."
