"The chef is French. I am in heaven . We sat on the patio and had one of the best meals I have ever had. The port wine poached pear salad was beyond amazing as was my husband's chicory salad. His rabbit entree was tender and delicious ,my butternut sqash au riz was so good I finished the large portion. Word of warning...if you want dessert...and you will...get the smaller portion. It was very filling...I have a huge happy food baby"

"Not recommending Artisan. We came here for Sunday brunch. First, the portions are very small. Second, we waited 45 minutes to have our meals. Third, they served a burnt steak. Never will come again. The only good part was the atmosphere."

"We went for brunch with some friends, and it was overall a great spot! I loved the food (brunch menu was just what I was looking for), but the service was just okay (very pleasant, but felt very scattered and we had to ask for several different things a few times throughout our meal, sometimes more than once). Maybe it was just an off day, so I'd love to go back. I'd say based on this one experience, it was a 4.25/4.5. We had the fresh fruit with ricotta, and avocado toast. They were able to add smoked salmon to the toast even though it wasn't on the menu, which we appreciated. The live music was a nice touch! The outdoor seating looked lovely on a nice spring day. Overall I'd definitely recommend this as a nice brunch spot in West Hartford."
