"Delicious, real, clean food and great staff. Went there because it’s minutes from my house & always drive by. Met a friend & she loved their coffee. I had Gallos, with meat and potato and it was so nourishing. Definitely making this my new local spot."
"My Wife and I have been meaning to come here after seeing the reviews for months, and finally got the chance! The food was FANTASTIC. Already planning our next meal here. We highly recommend Pura Vida!"
"This place is true gem, we heard about this new place in the Naugatuck valley that had recently opened and had authentic Costa Rican food…and we knew we had to try it- so we took the drive out and I’m glad we did. The service was fantastic, the food made me feel like at was at home with the family and the atmosphere was truly amazing. We talked to owner Jimmy and Gladys and they made us feel like family. I would recommend this place to any one in search of a good hot Latin style meal and a warm atmosphere. I can’t wait to try their new “Pura Vida” branded coffee; coming soon. We ordered tamales, gallon pinto and a calentado."
"Our first time in a Costa Rican restaurant .....won't be our last !!. We had a nice time here with great food and awesome hospitality .we had the chifrijo and the pork casado.the chifrijo had really nice crispy pork belly chicharones fresh pico de Gallo and amazing beans that were very flavorful and well seasoned . The casado was also good with a pan seared pork chop rice black beans and plantains topped with a fried egg. Again I can't mention the beans enough they were that good .they also brought out a nice pickled vegetable medley with jalapenos for us to try which complimented our entrees very nicely .we picked up a rice pudding to go for dessert which was just made that today and was very decadent .nice family owned small restaurant that puts love and care into their cooking ......thanks again we will be back to try other entrees!!!!"
"I’m so happy I can say that my hometown has a fantastic Costa Rican restaurant now!! It was very clean and bright inside, and the young man that took care of us was friendly and attentive. The mango drink I had was very refreshing, and my best friend and I enjoyed our lunch of chips with fresh guac and salsa, a tamal, Costa Rican tacos, and empanadas. The pupusa was probably the star for me - it was so flavorful!! I can’t wait to come back and try more menu items!"
