Tony's Golden House Chinese Take-Out Restaurant 101 Haviland Drive, Patterson, NY 12563

"I’ve been craving Chinese, but wasn’t sure what the best local spot in the area was. Despite some of the lower reviews, I decided to try Golden House because of their lunch specials. A choice of soup and an entree for only $8.50?! Yes, please! For a weekday lunch, my pickup order took a little less than 15 minutes. Not bad, overall. My food was piping hot and the portion sizes were huge—easily enough for some leftovers! The woman at the counter was incredibly friendly and my Chicken and Broccoli tasted great! They also seem to have a lot of varying options in terms of spice and any dietary needs. Like most of the places in Putnam Lake, the parking on Haviland Road isn’t ideal. The restaurant has a small parking lot, but parking can be a bit limited. And I will say, while the restaurant appeared clean, the door leading inside is not the most accessible. It was incredibly heavy and wasn’t the easiest to maneuver. Perhaps, I’ll opt for delivery the next time I order. Regardless, Golden House is such a great local spot!"

"I could give him a zero and give me zero over an hour late ice cold chicken wings dried out shrimp rolls petrified fried rice sucks. And drops it was OK. Some of the worst service in Chinese food have ever had in my life"

"only Chinese place I ever ordered from that isn't sure what chicken chow mein is- a person orders take out so they don't have to wait -2 times in a row (the only 2 times I will ever be there )they made chicken lo mein-said "please wait-so sorry "- first time I waited - 2nd time I walked out people are on their lunch breaks - get your act together- last owner would burn their egg rolls maybe the building is cursed because the place still stinks new owners paint job and all-chow mein vs lo mein yeeeesh"

"If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience in New York, then this is the place to go. The menu at Golden House is exceptional. The lunch special is especially noteworthy, as it is a great deal. 11-3 Monday- Saturday (tuesday closed), a meal, side of rice, and a soda (or soup if you are feeling fancy). I usually even have let overs! The atmosphere at Golden House is also outstanding. Each member of the staff is friendly and attentive, willing to have conversations with you and make sure you have an enjoyable experience. They are very approachable and sometimes I even consider them friends. Overall, Golden House is a hidden gem. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the drinks are outstanding. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, then here is a great choice. I make sure to celebrate all Kaylee and Cory days here, and I will continue to do so until the end of my days."
