"This past week I had an appointment with the Color Lab, I was greeted so warmly by Jimmy. I was so excited to finally get my hair done after I’ve been seeing his work for a few years now. I had highlights, a haircut & a few other things... I was so pleased with his services, one thing I felt the need to commend was that he didn’t do what I asked per say.. he let me know what he felt was appropriate and what would work for me. He also didn’t try to sell me “the look” he wanted to make sure I knew that what my hair needs were, needed to be addressed first. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a knowledgeable colorist."

"Jimmy is incredible! He’s really great at listening to what you are looking for, but also truly looking at your hair and tweaking the plan based on how healthy your hair is, how much maintenance you want to keep up with etc. I had a really bad experience at another salon where they accidentally turned my blonde a rust orange and then had to bleach it to get rid of the color. I hated how it was growing out and Jimmy totally helped me color correct to get closer to my natural color. In my most recent appointment, we were going to go blonder, but he saw the hair breakage I had going on (that postpartum life), and advised me to pivot. We ended up doing a warm mocha brunette situation. I never thought I’d be able to rock this color but I love it and trust him entirely. Plus- he’s so fun and easy to talk to and plays the best music. Overall amazing vibes!"

"I was Jimmy's first customer at the Color Lab, but I've gone to Jimmy for my past 2 color appointments at his previous salon. If you follow him on instagram, you know he's called the king of balayage...if you've had your hair done by him, you know WHY he is the king of balayage. He did a phenomenal job on my hair every time, and I walk out obsessed every time. (And that's difficult to do, since I don't particularly like my hair to begin with.). He gives you great aftercare tips and helps you maintain the integrity of your hair, which is especially important with bleaching! My hair always feels healthy afterwards- unlike some places that leave your hair feeling like straw when you go blonde. Beyond the hair though, Jimmy told me he opened up his own spot to create a more inclusive space where and ALL hair types are welcome and celebrated. You can feel that the moment you walk through the door. (Bonus, his space is clean, comfortable, and private.) I moved out of the area, but still drive up to 2 hours to see him- he's now the only one I trust with my color!"
