Reviews
"The apartments are great but the neighbors are the problem they are all old people with bad attitudes they gave my children a very hard time wouldn’t recommend for that reason"
"I have been living at Jefferson Woods for 3 years now. Very affordable rent, beautiful area, Dominic and Linda have been very good to me. It's an older building so things do fall apart every now and then, but nothing too crazy that a little DIY can't fix up."
"One of the worst rental experiences. Pros: port jeff is a good neighborhood; safe & friendly. Neighbors are good. The rent is relatively cheap (but with reasons...). Cons: the two people (Linda & Dom) who are in charge of the places are extremely unprofessional. You can rarely find them during office hours. They live in the apartment complex too; when you call them you will always be transferred into a voicemailbox. Repair is rarely done in time, taking 2 weeks to several months (you are lucky if they don't come back and charge you at the end of your lease for something that they have not repaired). The building is very old so the heating and cooling is a problem. The wall is extremely thin so you can hear everything. Washer and dryer are challenging and loud to use. Advice: take as many pictures as possible when you move in and when you move out to document every issue with the apartment, so that you won't be charged with fees when you move out. Although the place is cheap, I would have chosen another place because the living experience and the exchange with landlords there are really unpleasant."
"Good value for rent in this neighborhood. Typical old building (things fall apart or stop working over time.) Near an unkept yard if you’re in building A so you’ll see weird bugs. Landlord’s wife is a rude pain to deal with. Not unusual in that line of work. Threatened not to accept me as a resident because I was hesitant about an signing a lease with an almost $3000 deposit without being able to see the apartment in person or have a friend see it for me. Asked me not to renew my current lease because I complained about a heating unit left incompletely sealed shut after it was repaired. Port Jefferson apartments are overpriced, so this is the best value. But get ready for your next unpleasant and unprofessional apartment lease relationship."
"Great looking apartments. Nice and clean, could use some updated for heaters or AC. But the area is beautiful, super close to hospitals if you work there. Parking doesn't seem to be an issue at all, and not to expensive."
