"It was pleasure of meeting one of the owners who gave us a tour of the Inn and the grounds. He was so nice to talk to and even though we weren’t staying for a long time he made us feel as if we were long term guests. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. I would love to go back for a longer stay."

"Rooms: The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean and no detail was missed. We were very happy with our accommodations and recommend to any and all people looking for a great place to vacation or "staycation" Nearby activities: Close to great options for dining, theater, shopping and other entertainment. Right near the shoreline and the harbor for scenic walks and views. A short drive away to truly wonderful hiking and walking trails that have great views. Safety: Extremely safe location. Bedrooms and bathrooms all lock. The entrance to the common area/bedrooms locks securely as well. The area around the B&B is safe and quiet as well. Walkability: This location is extremely walkable to "down port" or Port Jefferson Village, a charming seaside main street that has top notch dining, shopping and entertainment options. Beautiful in the winter and the spring and a short walk away (although a car is certainly a good option for folks who don't get around on foot so easily). Food & drinks: Fresh pastries in the morning, coffee, a large assortment of teas, fresh fruit, a stocked fridge (juice milk, etc.) plus cold and hot cereals and snacks kept our stomachs full! Not to mention the delicious chocolate. You will also have access to the freezer stocked with ice cream! Noteworthy details: Fantastic touches throughout the B&B. Truly warm and welcoming hosts in a wonderfully comfortable environment. Every thing you need to be made comfortable, comfortable bedding, fresh bathrobes and towels, climate control, access to snacks and warm teas/coffees, was there. No detail was overlooked. We loved the on-theme fox and owl decorations throughout the space as well. The bathroom was spacious and well stocked. The common areas had interesting books and boardgames and there is always space at the table or in the sitting room to kick your feet up and relax. We were so impressed by our hosts and their enthusiasm and joy for their work. We felt like part of the family!"

"The Fox and Owl Inn is the B&B of your dreams! Rebecca (the host) greeted me warmly in the driveway and gave me a tour of her lovely home. The Victorian house, antique furniture, pictures and decorations were well curated and curated with detail and care. My Room (The Meadow) was one of the most cozy and comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. Again, the furnishings were divine! Plenty of room for 3 and a luxury bathroom complete with claw foot tub. Definitely a room for a romantic weekend or peaceful, relaxing retreat for solitude and contemplation. The Breakfast was just lovely! Fresh pastries, Fruit, Hard Boiled Eggs, Yogurt, Jams and tons of noshes like granola bars, popcorn and some sweets in the freezer. Hot delish coffee, creamer, milk, sugar, teas honey..I could go on but I was extremely happy with the selection! Whats great is that everything is self serve and available at what ever time you decide you want to eat (even if its a midnight snack)! Also, I have to mentions this..THEY HAVE A HOT TUB!! I didn't have a chance to use it but come equipped with bathing suits so you can enjoy it! I could really go on and on about The Fox and Owl Inn...but I think you should book a stay with them and find out for yourself!"

"Lovely bed and breakfast 10 mins walk out of Port Jefferson. Nice big rooms with mirrors and air con. Owner was really helpful and recommended two great restaurants (Ruvo and Nantuckets)."

"The Fox and Owl Inn was in a wonderful location and the owners went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome during our stay there. We arrived very late at night on Christmas Eve after taking a long flight to NYC from Central America and we were warmly greeted and even provided with a delightful dinner! Coffee and breakfast were served to us each morning and it was unseasonably cold and had a cozy room with an in suite bathroom. We felt very welcome at The Fox and Owl Inn and we especially enjoyed bundling up and walking to the waterfront in Port Jefferson where we were able to explore the local cafes and restaurants. We were also assisted with check out and one of the owners helped load our luggage and was very hands on with helping us."
