"I am not currently renting, helping someone inquire about Brookwood. I have left a message a week for 3 weeks, applied online and even emailed who I could on ZIllow and Trulia. NO one has got back to me, I cant imagine the service being any better if we were tenants"
"Boyfriend and I are former tenants at this property. Apartments themselves are nothing to write home about but I was very grateful for the super we had at the time named Tim! He always arrived pleasant and respectful. Listened to requests throughly and there was never a job too big or too small. He made our stay very comfortable and put a lot of our worries to ease!"
"**EDIT: They’ve recently restaffed the office and it’s like night and day, they actually answer the phones and have been much more helpful in all aspects!** I've lived here for almost 3 years now, honestly I would've lost my mind if the superintendent Tim wasn't there. The property is beautiful, neighbors are always nice and welcoming and overall a great location to live. I have had issues with the property manager as well as the office staff. They truly can't be bothered, they never answer the phones and rarely take care of issues unless I also bring them up to Tim. There's a reason 90% of these reviews specifically mention him. He really keeps them afloat."
"Going into my third year here all the tenants are great the grounds are nice. The apartments are updated nicely. My main shout out is the maintenance crew Tim and his crew are fantastic you have a problem they're there right away during the winter their snow removal was great. And the whole crew is just very kind and considerate and extremely friendly. All in all good place to live"
"Tim gets 5 stars for being an amazing super! He is attentive, kind, and genuinely caring. He goes the extra mile to help tenants whenever he can. Tim does a great job and I hope they pay him well because he is the only one for all of these apartments. I took off 2 stars because of my negative experience with rent increase and poor amenities. I've lived here 2 years and when I first moved in it was very affordable, then they raised the rent $200 more a month on my lease renewal. When I called the office to inquire why so much (and noted that there were no improvements made to the property in general, much less my apartment) I was told, "we do not have to give any reason for raising rent, that's our prerogative." After to speaking to other tenants I discovered that they do not raise everyone's rent the same - one lady rents the exact same model as me and her rent only increased by $50 per month. Also, the laundry machines often don't work and are unclean (which is not the responsibility of the super as they are on a separate contract.) When I called the office they said to call the company that owns them and tell them they need to be serviced...ummmm that's your job but ok...so I called and they told me the machines were not under any maintenance contract and were on a "as needed" basis and that if a tenant didn't call them they didn't come and noone had called in over a year...ewww. Then there's the landscapers who have removed so many trees at the company's request and leave all sorts of litter behind (wrappers, bottles.) The trees were most of the charm and they cut them down for no reason (not to expand or build.) Lastly, during the pandemic they kept the pool and gym closed (understandable) but offered no discount on rent even though those amenities are part of what we pay for in our monthly rent."
