"I have no idea what the negative reviews are talking about. I lived here for 7 years and overall it was great. They were installing brand new efficient HVAC systems when we left. Even before that our bills were never too bad, despite us abusing the HVAC system (we love the cold). The grounds were well maintained and maintenance fixed any issues immediately. Pricing was reasonable. Visitor parking was lacking a little but not a huge problem. Rent increases were totally reasonable year to year. They let us out of the lease when we bought a house without penalty and even gave us more time than we needed to move out free or charge. Got our full deposit back with no hassle too. Would definitely recommend!"
"UPDATE: We’re moving out, thank the lord! Feel a little bad for whoever takes our place. My husband and I have lived here for three years. BEWARE - the HVAC system is 20 years old and they will not replace it. The owners of this property are money-driven. Go down the street, there are better options. Other negatives: - visitors parking spots? HAH, good luck finding one! A lot of people are allowed to keep unnecessary third vehicles here, and guess where they park? - the water tastes terrible; the shower head has to be regularly cleaned because it turns bright red in less than a month. - walls are incredibly thin, we can hear our neighbors' conversations and are frequently woken up early in the morning by people leaving the building - windows and doors have NO insulation, our heating and cooling bills (when we had a working HVAC) were insane - they seem to care more about landscaping than the quality of their units - do you like lots of noise? Be ready for leaf blowers and lawn mowers 2x a week starting at 7am - Do you enjoy cleaning cat hair from communal washers? Get used to it - the cleaning lady only comes every other week! - if there’s a construction project they start as early as they can, so hopefully you wake up earlier than they do! Legally it’s 7am. They’re here before that so they can start on the dot. Have fun! Positives - close to route 9 and stop and shop, but so are other apartment complexes"
"My husband and I have lived here for close to 4 years since we came to CT and we moved out solely because we were moving to another state. The on-site leasing manager and the maintenance team have always been nice and helpful whenever there’s a need. They always gave us prompt response and were dedicated to their work. I have had 3 different on-site managers since living here, the current manager Bev is a wonderful lady, always went out her way to help us. Love our experiences at Fennwoode!"
"We're new to CT, but I cannot imagine a better apartment complex to live in. We've bounced around apartments throughout the country for 10 years now and this is the best we've ever lived at. Don't worry about snow, they will plow through the night to ensure you can get to work safely in the morning. We're finally buying a house, but had a couple snags. They were so incredibly flexible. They let us out of the last 2 months of our lease when we were supposed to close on a house. When that fell through, they didn't hesitate to let us go back to our original lease. They also offered flexible options if our search extended beyond that, fortunately, it did not. Great location, technically in Newington, but on the Newington/New Britain/West Hartford line so anything you can think of is in close proximity. Hidden gem that they don't advertise, if you take a left out of the complex and a right at the first light, there is an entrance to a 5 mile biking/walking trail at the end of the small business park. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed biking/walking there. If you live here, you will understand what it means to always put tenants first."
"My mother, my son and I moved in here in the middle of August. It is such a great place to live! From the time we moved in here until now we honestly couldn’t be happier. Jessica, Sam, and Sean are very professional, kind and prompt. As soon as we need anything at all, Jessica gets back to us immediately and Sam and Sean are here the same day to fix what we need fixed or to update things that they can improve on etc. We feel very safe here as the outside doors remained locked at all times and everyone we met has been very neighborly. During the winter, we were worried about the snow on the hill but were pleasantly surprised when we saw them plowing all night consistently to make sure all of the tenants could safely drive down it. They did an amazing job for our first storm! Overall we are very happy with our decision to move here and all of your hard work is very much appreciated! The Jordan Family"
