Holiday Inn Express Newington - Hartford, an IHG Hotel

"This location is not walkable. Though there are lots of surrounding restaurants, there is no easy way to cross the Berlin Turnpike. I cannot say anything positive when it comes to the current rooms. I believe the renovation that is currently underway will be a vast improvement. I can also say that the morning representation of management definitely shows the reasons this property is in the condition that it is in."

"Right on Highway but entrance needs better signage. Very easy to miss and difficult to turn around if you miss it! Check in online was flawless. Rooms clean, beds comfortable if you like a very firm mattress. Hard to connect with front desk. Have stayed here twice over past two weeks due to location and both visits I called the front desk for assistance (extra towels needed one time, and to request late check out the other) Both times (and with different people) I was asked to hang on (no one came back on the line and then when I again I was told I would be called back (I wasn’t) Free Breakfast very limited and hot choices were barely warm."

"In their defense, they're in the middle of a renovation. My 4-star review was a reflection of the previous decor that I hadn't seen in an HIE in a couple of years and I stay in them yearly on vacation. But everything else about the hotel itself was typical of HIE which is why I'm a rewards member. I love and trust the quality of HIE."

"Great location. Clean, comfortable rooms. Only problem, bed was a little bit too high for me to get in easily. Staff was great."

"Room was decent, but hotel was under construction what a mess. No prior warning , breakfast was out when refills eere brought out staff from cleaning service took most of it waited 40 minutes for more food to be brought out before I gave up and went to breakfast else where."
