"Not happy with the price of over $60 for a women's haircut, which I paid after my generous tip. The service was great, but my hair cut wasn't anything high end. Disappointed that this isn't really a place I can continue to afford. I want to add that when I booked, no one asked me what level stylist I had wanted, they may have just wanted to book the available appointment. So in another review I read, it was nice the front desk took the extra time to offer different levels, which means very different prices that you can afford."

"This place is incredible - I had no idea what I was missing! Cutting Loose (and Christina) came highly recommended by a friend when I was scoping out a new hairstylist. The salon is clean and sophisticated, and not overwhelmed with hair stylists or customers - maybe a symptom of covid - but I appreciated the calm, quiet environment to relax after work. I had a consultation to talk through what I’ve done to my hair in the past, my lifestyle and what I wanted to accomplish now (going dark after years of blonde). I left my first appointment feeling better about my hair than I have in years, for much less than I was paying another salon for the same service. I’m honestly still a bit in shock over how perfectly Christina translated my vision into the end result. It’s worth noting I had (and usually have) extremely high expectations with my hair. The vibrant color is better than anything I could ever try to describe and my hair is soft, smooth and shiny. The cut makes my hair fall in this perfect, voluminous way that I’ve always wanted but never knew how to explain. It’s also a huge plus that Christina has a great personality so being in the chair felt like I was catching up with a close friend. If you don’t feel this way after leaving your current salon/hairstylist, you’re missing out and you owe it to yourself to give this place a try."

"I've been to several different salons. As you know it takes a lot to switch to to a new place. My sister-in-law kept raving about the crew at Cutting Loose Somers. She went so far as to get me a gift certificate for Christmas to sway me to go. Honestly my experience has been life changing. The place is super clean, well stocked, extremely well thought out in regards to customer comfort. I feel cared for and listened to and this was all before the scalp massage! My hair has never looked better or been healthier since I've starting coming here. I can easily style at home for weeks. Jacqueline sets the example for her team. I am cared for by Christina expertly and with a smile. Other family members (male and female) have also joined and rave about Cutting Loose as well. "First time last week, Meghan was my stylist and she was fabulous. My haircut is unbelievable. The salon has you choose your level stylist when you are booking an appointment, levels of experience, I chose a master stylist and received an A++ experience, and walked out of there looking like a million bucks. Mind you that ain't easy, being 51 and grumpy af. Thank you to Meghan for bringing my sexy back! Great salon, great location, great people!!! I highly recommend! Try eyebrow tinting, I did and it has changed my life!"
