"If you haven’t been to Chocolate Nails, you are missing out. The new owners are great and they have continued with the excellent service we have come to expect! They are always on top of new nail trends! Special shout out to Nicole for this masterpiece. My daughter is OBSESSED!"
"Just a little disappointed by todays visit. I used to live in New Milford and fell in LOVE with this salon and became a regular when I lived there (I usually saw Penny and never had any complaints). I moved to Torrington so the drive has now become close to an hour and haven’t been since they changed ownership/gotten new management. I decided to go today because my birthday is tomorrow and I needed a fill. I suppose it’s on me for not knowing that you cannot fill a previous dip set, so my previous nails needed to be completely removed and a new set needed to be put on ($). I asked for chrome, and hardly ended up with that. I also asked for an almond shape, but was told I could not have that shape due to my nail beds being too wide. I’ve never been told that before. Now that I’m home, I’m realizing that my cuticles are still wildly out of control, and that there is build up of dried powder underneath almost all of my nails. I’m having to re file most of my nails due to a crooked shape. I’m giving 3 stares solely based on the fact that my manicurist was kind. Worth an hour drive? No. Worth $100? Absolutely not. I wish them the best of luck but I unfortunately won’t be back."
"Best UV gel nails I have ever gotten! I will 100% be coming back for my fills. I am so happy I found a place that gives me exactly what I want."
"The dip powder I get is always good on my nails, I never have issues. I’ve gotten 2 pedicures here and after the last one I won’t be back. I tried to give them another chance but my gel polish was not fully removed, my toenails are different lengths, and for the price it’s outrageous for what you actually get. I also think, as a suggestion, everyone should have a Venmo or some sort of other way to do tips besides just cash. Most people don’t carry cash anymore and it’s a little frustrating when you get an attitude for not carrying cash on you and not wanting to take it out of an ATM."
"The salon is clean and staff is always friendly. Last time I was there I had a powder dip manicure. The tech used a dremel on my nails, never had that before at other salons. The tech did a good job applying the powder though she did an extra dip that wasn’t needed, made my nails feel heavy. After a couple weeks I had the powder removed at my usual nail salon and I saw that the dremel had damaged my nails, I was left with ridges in my nails. My salon told me to never let anyone use that tool as it will damage my nails. I won’t be going to Chocolate Nails for a manicure again, I still have ridges in my nails."
