Hampton Inn & Suites Yonkers - Westchester

"My husband, my two children and I stayed for a few days here for New Year’s. The only reason we wanted to stay here is because they had a pool. The pool was closed the entire stay. My husband asked the front Desk employee the night before we left if we could have a later check out and he said yes, no problem. I brought my kids to the free breakfast at 830 and cleaned the room. We left around 12 1230. Today I get a charge of $55 so I called the hotel and they said it was a pet fee. I told him I didn’t have a pet. They said oh no it was for a late check out. I said we left before the time the front desk extended too. He said no it says you left at two so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was so unprofessional and rude. She said if you left before 1 you wouldn’t have been charged. She kept lying and saying that one of the managers knocked on the door. Nobody knocked on our door, and if they did, we were already gone. I told her I still have the keys and never checked out because the week before we stayed in the time square Hilton and we were told we didn’t have to check out. Then she said your husband checked out and gave us the keys. I said I still have the keys. She got mad and started yelling saying it’s only $55 what the big deal and hung up. My husband asked her to watch the cameras or we can send her pictures of us at the Bronx zoo when according to her we were supposedly still at the hotel. We both told her we were in the Bronx by 1:30. I am never staying here again. Besides that other staff were nice (not the manager) and the location is great."

"I loveeee this hotel. I was having a bad day until I walked in the lobby my mood immediately changed and when I got into my room and I super happy. The place was clean, breakfast was great and the staff was excellent. I loved it. I will definitely go back!"

"Everything was great with my visit I enjoyed my stay especially due to the great location and so many different options for food to choose from. The only thing was I didn't understand why they couldn't have complementary water in the room you have to go all the way to the lobby to purchase water. Now granted there is a target close by and you could easily save money and get what you need from there, but it would make more sense just to have something in the room that helps people say “they care”"

"Room was not serviced because "You did not ask." When it was serviced the following day, housekeeping apparently took the TV controller. Went to desk to complain and was told someone would bring a new one to the room. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we went back to the desk and were told, "Oh, here it is." Service left us 2 facecloths, 1 hand towel, and 5 bath towels for 2 people. The paper cups were not replenished. Desk chair was badly stained; something had been removed from the wall (presumably a picture) and the holes had not been patched. The eggs served at breakfast were terrible, although the sausages and potatoes were fine. One morning the only muffins available were covered with nuts, so inedible for those with nut allergies. For rooms costing about $300 a night. This is NOT acceptable. There are numerous hotels in this part of Westchester County - I recommending avoiding this Hampton Inn."

"Room was great staff was very helpful and friendly the hot water was at times warm not hot then there was a water leak they had to turn off hot water they did compensate me and gave me the night free that was very nice of them I appreciate it there compensation. I don’t think that there is security in the parking lot. My car was almost broken into. They tried to break in my last night my rear passenger window was cracked as if they were trying to break in they couldn’t get in. They broke into another car. I seen the rear window smashed on the floor, so there is no security for the parking lot, so do not leave any valuables in your car."
