"Love their deli/meat dept. Soooo fresh! "Fresh" Acres."
"The butcher that worked today 12/3 around noon time was outstanding. He took the time to assist me and my 17month old son with our selections. He walked with us from chicken, to beef, and then fish selections; using sanitary and food safety skills with each exchange and was spot on in his calculations. Ive had good and poor experiences with this store, however lately the good has been tipping the scale. Keep up the great work we love the local, small town feel!"
"I travel a lot so I have been to most of the BigYs in Western MA. This is my least favorite. The layout is odd and they do not have the same selections as many of the other BigYs do. The customer service has always been great but I would recommend the extra drive to Wilbraham. It's worth it."
"Nice clean store, friendly staff, excellent meat and prepared food selection and, little niche items. I especially love the local farms milk and eggs. Bakery is to die for. Love this big y over others in the area"
"Definitely not ADA Compliant! I am the first one to give a great review when deserved. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in Fresh Acres. I do not go there often so when I do, I enjoy shopping all their gourmet goodies and looking at the array of unique products. Yesterday being there, brought me to tears. I have had several back surgeries so depending on the day my back pain can be painful or very painful. Yesterday, it was very, very painful so I used one of the motorized carts and I am truly appreciative of stores that offer them. Maybe it was the social distancing that amplified this but there were certain areas of the store that made it impossible to get through due to the sales displays in the isles. I highly doubt that management of this grocery store or any others take a ride in one of these carts to experience what shopping is like in their store using one. There were at least two areas in the store that made turning impossible. Between the end cap sales displays and the displays in the middle of the isles I knocked over a total of three displays during my visit. This is embarrassing and aggravating as I have to get out of the cart and bend over stressing my back to pick everything up. As it stands now, I will not be going back until they are ADA compliant and I will be calling the general manager today. In doing my research, here is what I found regarding the guidelines in grocery stores and being ADA compliant. "Grocery Aisles. Failing to provide wide enough walkways between shelving units can put a retailer in danger of noncompliance with the ADA. A minimum width of 36 inches is required. If the aisle is more than 200 feet long, a passing space of at least 60 inches by 60 inches must be provided" I know they were not compliant in a few areas for sure."
