"I’m extremely disappointed in Dr. Athans’ lack of transparency. I was a recent new patient who trusted her with establishing my care. I told her in person during my visit that I needed sedation for procedures & I could tell her response was very uncomfortable, it wasn’t something she wanted to dive into further. She just kept saying “we don’t have that problem here” but never disclosed that it actually wasn’t available at all. I was advised to schedule my next appointment for a filling repair, which I did, but she did not hear, address, or comfort my concerns at all. In the past I’ve been very painful with oral procedures & have required the gas mask, which I tried discussing with her directly. As a doctor, a patient assumes they can take care of us. The fact that she was going to let me come in for that future appointment knowing she could not provide the sedation I asked for is unacceptable & unsettling. I wanted to continue forward with this practice solely because of my wonderful experience with Jessie (I think dental hygienist - absolutely lovely!), but cannot trust Dr. Athans to hear or address my concerns as a patient & am therefor looking for a new dentist. I have cancelled all appts with Dr. Athans at this time."

"I have always hated going to the dentist and trust me I’ve been to my fair share. I have never felt more comfortable than I have here. The dentist and hygienists I’ve seen were all wonderful and explain things very well. The dentist makes sure to provide you with the best treatment plan and I’ve never felt any judgement. Highly recommend."
