"Seemed as x-ray tech was new, took over 25 X-rays, until I was gagging so much I almost threw up. Then taken to a room where someone came over & rattled off a bunch of numbers & then told me to sign a form. NEVER INTRODUCED themselves. (Thought was dentist). Then LEFT FOR OVER 2 HOURS! When asked, told by dentist, “didn’t know you were waiting.” And told to “find another place since you confronted my staff.” If asking if you’ve been forgotten about (which I was) is “”confrontational “ they should get their acts together, act more professional, run more timely & at least TELL THE PERSON they are running late and give the person the opportunity to stay/reschedule. Then refused to give me my x-rays OR not bill my insurance. Horrible experience!"
"The office visit and subsequent dental visit was flawless. My one complaint is the procedure used to obtain appointment confirmation. I get a text and an e-mail asking me to call without telling me why. The phone number is the corporate one with its AI robotics and its associated nightmare before finally finding out it is for confirmation. Why not have me report to the text or email?"
"I was told that I have early stages of periodontal disease. That I would require a deep cleaning for $3000. I told them that I just wanted a normal cleaning (my teeth are fine) they came back that it's a law that they have to do the deep cleaning first. I walked out and went to another dentist."
"The appointment did not begin on time and there were long waits in between the appointment once it FINALLY did begin. The scheduled appointment was 30 mins late to which the DOCTOR replied “just reschedule”. This was terrible customer service because they could have acknowledged that they were in fact running behind schedule by simply saying: thank you for you patience, we apologize for the delay, I’m sorry you came all the way here and we were unable to accommodate you…something along those lines but saying “just reschedule” is dismissive and it says we don’t value you or your time only your money. I foresee them closing their doors very soon due to loss of business. Go elsewhere where they practice professionalism!"
"Summary: scummy business practices, aged equipment, lax hygiene Appointment was scheduled for a specific time, but I had to wait 55 minutes in the waiting area to see a hygienist. Why schedule me for a specific time if Aspen Dental is not going to honor the scheduling? Another huge red flag - Aspen Dental overcharged (by almost double the amount) and did not mention anything to me for over 2 months. I only found out when I contacted my insurance agent, who was perplexed at why I was asked to pay so much by Aspen Dental. When I went to the front desk to ask about the overcharge, they said that they knew and that it will be used as "credit" for "future treatments" at Aspen Dental. Not even a half-hearted sorry was given. This is a morally questionable practice - how do they know if I will ever return here for another treatment (spoiler: I will never come back here)? The actual facility itself is also awful. See attached pictures. The equipment I saw were all very old and basic models. Dentists in developed countries typically have much newer and better equipment than at Aspen Dental here, as those Dentists hold themselves to higher standards. The equipment is stained with grime and dust, and crevices under the seats are filthy as well. See pictures. I would guess, based on my few visits here, that the photographed areas (and potentially more) are not regularly cleaned. If visible areas are so neglected from cleaning, I would have to question how clean the rest of the equipment would be. Aspen Dental exhibits questionable business practices, poor communication with patients, uses poor equipment, AND has poor hygienic standards. I cannot think of a single reason why they should have my business. I do not recommend Aspen Dental. Your teeth, wallet, and sanity deserve much better."
