"Incredible! Really, really great pizza! Definitely gives New Haven a run for its money. We decided to try it after featured on Barstool, and if you live in CT or close to it and haven't been here yet, get off your rear end! 9.1 was even too low in our opinions! I have no criticism whatsoever, it is simply incredible, well made pizza. And the staff was also very nice!!! Bravo!!!"
"Dave Portnoy of Barstool gave The Little Rendezvous Pizza a 9.1 rating on @barstoolsports so we decided to get some pizza after our hike down here in CT. Definitely not a floppy pizza and the crust was wicked crunchy, and the cheese and toppings never fell off! We devoured these 2 pizzas between the 4 of us!! One bite everyone knows the rules. It's also CASH only."
"Outstanding plain tomato pie. While the atmosphere isn’t overflowing full of eat in diners, the amount of pies coming in and out of the small oven was evidence of the volume of pick up orders. I called one hour in advance and got lucky to be able to time it exactly when I would arrive. While the top may look charred like it was damned, I assure you that the coal oven heat from the top merely caramelized the sugars in the tomato sauce only and brought out the flavor. And the crust was crispy and not blackened. I liked the vibe of the place and owner was cool. I congratulated him on his success and he humbly accepted it."
"I called in advanced, arrived in time to watch them make my pizza. Perfect timing! Some of the best pizzas I had. An old oven (technically you could call it antique because it is more than 130 year old; built in1888) definitely helps but you could see they put in a lot of effort in their craft. Can't wait to go back for more!"
"Good pizza but not the exceptional pizza I was expecting after the 9.1 bombshell. Crust was crisp but had a bit of a toughness to it. Sauce tasted a slightly over reduced and needed some seasoning. That’s being picky though. If this shop was near me I’d be eating here all the time."
