Reviews of Suffield Pizza and Family Restaurant
"First time here. Food and service were an absolute delight. Great menu - way more than just pizza."
"First time ordering. I've never had white pizza that was just cheese on bread and baked. No garlic and oil base? Or white sauce base? Just nothing at all. And it was overdone so that made it extra dry. We also ordered fish n chips and the oil must have been old because it didn't have a pleasant taste. Maybe their other food is good but mine was not"
"First time customers. Incredibly friendly staff and limited wait time (takeout) on a Friday night. I'm not a super picky person, but the food was very sub par. The garlic knots were burned, dry and lacking any garlic/butter flavor. We threw them away (and I LOVE bread/carbs). The chicken alfredo was a good portion size, but the sauce was flavorless and the chicken was rubbery and only about three tiny strips of chicken breast. Maybe it was just a bad night? (edited to removed comment about extra charge for chicken)"
"Went here for the first time. Had a gift certificate and just moved into town and figured lets give it a shot. Well unfortunately I wish I had a better experience. I don’t usually right negative reviews like this, but I can’t believe they would serve food like they did, I’d be embarrassed as an owner. Ordered a small meat lovers pizza, a large pepperoni, hamburger and green peppers pizza and an order of potato skins. The pizza wasn’t the greatest but not the worse, almost tasted like frozen pizza, I know it’s not but the consistency was that of frozen pizza. As for the potato skins, see attached photos. The toppings were great, well the ones that actually made it on them, but way over cooked and tiny, I know not all places are the same but as business person myself, I would be embarrassed. It’s unfortunate that we had a bad experience, we are right down the street and as much as I hate to admit it, we do pizza or eat out once a week, and with pizza being our house’s favorite choice, I’m very sad this place didn’t work out. Best of luck to this business, I hope they take more pride in their food."
"First time here last night. Place must be better known for its pizza. Of the four of us our granddaughter loved the perogies. She said they were “bangin.” I think that’s college talk for “awesome.” The three of us had parmigiana- veal, eggplant and chicken. We all thought they were ok but not outstanding. The crust on mine slid right off which indicates to me the entree might be frozen. Needed more spice. We all asked for more sauce. Thankfully our server had told us to ask if we wanted more. Calamari was tasty as were the salads. Dessert was outstanding- chocolate cake plus raspberry cheesecake. Other than the food the highlight of the experience was our terrific server - Sue. She was a charm! Very solicitous! When she asked if anyone wanted coffee I asked if there was decaf. She said she could brew a pot. Having owned a restaurant I know that could be a pain since you might waste the rest of the pot. I told her no thanks that I wouldn’t want her to brew a pot. Guess what, she made a pot for me anyway -so kind. Since our family just moved to town we want to try this place again for the pizza. Good customer service deserves community support."
