Founded in 1920, the Asmuss Group has been a trusted supplier to many of New Zealand's biggest industrial and construction projects. As one of the largest privately owned companies in its field, we have a proven track record of delivering high-quality products and services.

Our achievements speak for themselves. For example, we were involved in a groundbreaking project that consisted of driving a 2km wastewater pipeline beneath a regional park into the Hauraki Gulf, setting a world record in the process. We supplied 980 tonnes of 1219mm steel pipe and manufactured 2km of 1100mm PE pipe to tight tolerances.

Another notable project we contributed to is the Central Interceptor, a $1.2 billion wastewater tunnel. For this project, we supplied 1400mm diameter heavy wall PE pipe and custom-made fabricated fittings using a special grade polyethylene resin.

In addition, we were proud to supply 400 tonnes of steel to the Civic Quarter Mixed-use Precinct, which involved transforming the Civic Administration Building and its surrounding area into new housing and commercial spaces. We were also engaged to supply many thousands of tonnes of steel beams and columns for various construction projects.

One of our most challenging projects was the rebuilding of Lyttleton Port, which was extensively damaged during the Canterbury earthquakes. Asmuss supplied 8000 tonnes of steel casings and steel line pipe for this project, contributing to the recovery plan that involved repairing the existing wharfs, re-configuring the port, and reclaiming land.
