As an Anglican integrated school, we are proud to be the parish school of St Matthew's Church Hastings, fostering a strong connection between our school and the local community.

At St Matthew's, we provide a nurturing and supportive environment for students from Years 1 to 8. With a maximum roll of 160 pupils, we prioritize personalized attention and ensure each child receives the individual care they deserve. Our enrollment policy is inclusive and does not discriminate based on faith or baptismal status, welcoming students from all backgrounds.

Our school operates under two rolls. The majority of our students, accounting for 95%, fall under our 'Preference Roll'. These students fulfill our Special Character Provisions, which emphasize the importance of teaching Christian values as an integral part of our curriculum. Our dedicated staff, Board of Trustees, and school chaplain work together to ensure that these values are instilled in our students.

As a school community, we actively engage in school services with the parish, fostering a sense of belonging and unity. Every fortnight, we come together for a special school service, providing an opportunity for students to explore and deepen their Christian faith with the guidance of our Chaplains. We believe in the power of a strong foundation in faith, as stated in Proverbs 22:6, "Teach our children to use the right path, and when they are older they will remain on it."
