Welcome to Te Awanga Kindergarten, a nurturing and empowering institution located in Hastings, New Zealand. Situated on high ground, we are designated as an emergency evacuation destination, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.

At Te Awanga Kindergarten, we prioritize building caring and mindful relationships with our students. Our dedicated staff, including Becky Kirk, Erin March, Paula Lantsbury, Janita Blake, and Lorraine Lovell, have a fantastic rapport with the children. They understand and appreciate the unique personalities and idiosyncrasies of each child, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

We believe in empowering children to become confident and independent learners. Through our carefully designed curriculum, we encourage curiosity and creativity, fostering a love for learning. Our aim is to instill in our students an appreciation and respect for the natural world, nurturing their connection to the environment.

Our teachers go above and beyond by introducing new and positive ideas, such as mindfulness classes, to enhance the learning experience.
