At Matisse Wine Bar, we are driven by two passions - Wine and Art. Our wine list is constantly evolving to reflect the latest discoveries and our all-time favorites. In addition to wines, we also serve artisan cocktails, craft beers, ciders, and beautiful seasonal tapas. Our menu offers a delightful range of flavors and textures that perfectly complement our wine selection.

Join us from Wednesday to Saturday between 2 pm and 4 pm, and on Sundays from 12 pm to 2 pm, to embark on a journey through the world of wine. Explore the renowned wine regions and grape varieties of New Zealand, learn about wineries, wine styles, and new trends in the industry. You can also choose to discover wines from less-known countries like Lebanon, Peru, or Uruguay.

If you're looking to experience the finest wines from around the world, we have you covered. From classic wines to new wine stars, we offer a selection that will satisfy even the most discerning palates.

Furthermore, we provide opportunities to learn and taste your way through the hottest trend in the wine industry - organic and biodynamic practices in winemaking. Our knowledgeable staff can answer questions about natural wines and orange wines, helping you expand your wine knowledge.

We also offer our venue for corporate events and private hire, accommodating up to 120 guests. Whether you're planning a stand-up cocktail party or a sit-down function, our space works perfectly for wine and canapés events as well as traditional dining.

Please note that our December 2022 menu may be smaller than usual due to staff shortages, but we assure you that there are still plenty of delicious options available. Exciting new summer tapas will be added to the menu in January 2023.

For larger groups, we offer the option of private hire of the entire venue without any additional hire fee. We are more than happy to work around your requirements to ensure your event is a success. Additionally, we offer private tutorial wine tastings for 8 guests or more, and we can even open outside of our trading hours for your private party.
