About the Business
Welcome to the Cambridge Bowling Club, located at 37 Thornton Road in Cambridge, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming bunch. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or have never tried the sport before, we are more than happy to teach you how to play.
One of our standout features is our quality green, which is quietly known as the best in the Waikato region. With plenty of game time available, you'll have ample opportunities to practice and enjoy the sport.
But the Cambridge Bowling Club offers more than just bowling for your membership fee, making it excellent value for money. Our social calendar is filled with exciting events such as Quiz Nights and Membership Social Nights, providing ample opportunities to make new friends, especially if you are new to the Cambridge area.
Here are some upcoming events at our club:
- On Saturday, the 20th, we will be hosting the Schroer Cup, featuring Shanghai Singles with three games.
- On Sunday, the 11th, we have a special event called Cambridge V Central, which includes a picnic at the green. This event is part of our 125th celebrations.
- Saturday, the 27th, marks the Waipa Tournaments: Myers, which will be held at our club.
- Finally, on Saturday, the 25th, we have the Bowls Prize Giving & Meeting, which kicks off at 1pm. This event is part of Club Day and includes a two-bowl triple format with two games of 40 minutes each night. Bowls will be available, but please bring soft flat shoes. The price per team for the 2024 season is to be confirmed.
