We believe that every child is unique and our passionate kaiako (teachers) work closely with each age group in dedicated environments suited to their specific needs. The Kakano room provides a nurturing and loving environment for children under 2 years old, while our curious 2-year-olds have access to a spacious and warm indoor area. Our outdoor space for children over 2 years old allows for plenty of active play, bike riding, and exploration of papatuanuku (Mother Earth).

In addition to our exceptional facilities, we also prioritize healthy and nourishing meals for the children at our center. Our in-house chef prepares a wide variety of minimally processed meals using fresh and wholesome ingredients, avoiding recipes high in added sugar. From time to time, we engage the children in baking activities, which not only teach them food preparation skills but also promote independence and simple math concepts.

At Busy Bees Putāruru, we are committed to following the aspirations of the New Zealand National ECE Curriculum, Te Whāriki. This curriculum emphasizes the importance of kaiako working in partnership with parents, whānau, and the community to empower children as lifelong learners. We understand that the first five years of a child's life are incredibly significant and influential, and we strive to provide a curriculum that supports their holistic development.

Outdoor play is a vital part of a child's education, and we recognize its importance in fostering their physical, social, and cognitive development.
