Scuola Montessori Preschool in Tauranga, New Zealand, welcomes you with open arms and a multicultural greeting. Our institution, named after the renowned Italian educationalist Maria Montessori, is committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment for children aged 12 months to 6 years.
At Scuola Montessori, we believe in creating a homelike, peaceful, and loving atmosphere where children feel safe to explore and learn. Our philosophy revolves around nurturing the love of learning and empowering children to become responsible and peaceful citizens of their world. We value the importance of respecting others (Manaakitanga) and connecting with others (Whanaungatanga), which is why we work closely with parents, caregivers, and the wider community.
Our mission is to support each child in becoming their unique selves. We believe that every child has their own individual strengths and talents, and we strive to provide the necessary support and guidance to help them flourish.
In Tauranga, we have two beautiful Montessori preschools. The first is located at 112 Waihi Road Judea, in an established house surrounded by a sustainable natural setting. The second is situated at 182 Fifteenth Avenue and is a purpose-built preschool designed to mimic a home environment. This school boasts a unique partly covered outdoor play area, allowing children to enjoy outdoor activities all year round, rain or shine. Both schools offer a wide range of interactive indoor and outdoor learning experiences, including gardening, caring for pets, baking, art, music, and practical life exercises.
In addition to our Tauranga locations, we also have a Montessori preschool in Masterton, situated in the beautiful Wairarapa region. This school provides the same high-quality education and nurturing environment as our Tauranga schools.
