"Such a cool and unique place. At first you think “Am I right here??” since the entry of the bar is in a dodgy-looking alley. Once you find the entry and say the password, you dive straight into the 50s. We felt like we just time travelled. The staff was really friendly, immediately approaching us and asking how we were doing ever once in a while. Unique drinks & they had the basic cocktails as well. Amazing atmosphere. We went on Friday night and the live music duo was fantastic, loved it so much that we went back on Saturday to catch the end of a nice jazz quartet. There was a small wait to get in each time, but the bouncer was great. Absolutely worth tracking down - don't miss this place if you're ever in Christchurch!"
