Welcome to Denise McKenzie Counsellor, located in the beautiful city of Hamilton, New Zealand. With over 30 years of experience in the field, I am dedicated to providing exceptional counselling services to individuals and families facing various challenges.

As a married mother of two grown children, I understand the importance of trust and compassion when it comes to helping others navigate through difficult times. Holding a Bachelor of Social Sciences Applied in Counselling, I am grateful for the opportunity to support and guide individuals as they work towards achieving their goals.

Community involvement has always been a significant part of my life. I have volunteered with Hospice, offering support to families for a decade. Additionally, I have completed ASIST Training, specializing in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills. Having firsthand experience with the impact of mental illness within families, I find it incredibly rewarding to assist family members in overcoming this challenge.

As a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors, I adhere to the highest ethical standards in my practice. I believe in creating a safe and confidential environment where individuals can explore their problems without fear of judgment.
