Gumboots and Grasshoppers Childcare is a charming establishment located at 708 Te Kowhai Road in New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, our primary goal is to foster growth and development in children by encouraging connections with the world around them.

Our childcare and early learning centre is situated on a spacious 5000 sqm section, providing a picturesque rural setting for children to explore and thrive. With one of the largest playgrounds in the Waikato, children have ample space to run, play, and unleash their creativity. Additionally, they have the opportunity to engage with nature by growing their own fruits and vegetables, learning about sustainability and the environment, and interacting with our friendly animals.

At Gumboots and Grasshoppers, we prioritize the well-being and nutrition of our children. Our on-site chef prepares nutritious and homely meals in our commercial kitchen, ensuring that children receive a balanced diet throughout the day. Our meal offerings include morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack.

We have three beautiful rooms, each thoughtfully equipped with high-quality resources that cater to the unique needs and interests of children. Our dedicated teaching team is passionate about providing a nurturing and stimulating environment, facilitating children's growth and development.

Our learning programme is based on the New Zealand National Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whariki. This comprehensive curriculum focuses on holistic development and provides a solid foundation for children's future education.

At Gumboots and Grasshoppers, we believe in the importance of community engagement. We actively participate in local events and foster connections with our neighboring retirement village and school. We strive to create a sense of belonging and community for both children and their families.
