Do not use tax refund agents, go direct to My IR and create your own log in or phone up. NZ inland revenue are really helpful and will return all your refund easily with no commission. Tax refund companies have been investigated before about unfair and misleading trading practices."

"Poor and disappointing service from this tax agent. I left three phone messages over a two week period with various staff for someone to call or email me back in regards to my query, but nothing - no acknowledgment whatsoever and this does not make me feel valued as a customer especially from the people who are managing my tax. I engaged MyTaxBack.co.nz straight away instead, and they have been excellent and efficient to deal with. I even already have my tax refund which was nine times more than what My Refund Limited estimated I would receive - woo hoo!. I highly recommend that you DO NOT USE THEM!"

"100% would NOT recommend My Refund Limited... Little to no communication, fake address, fake number. When you call no matter if it's the 0800 number or their "office" it always makes you hold for sooooo long saying "you're now caller number 5" then you wait until you're number one and then it goes straight to voicemail. Not sure how but My refund LTD have somehow became my official tax agent with IRD and have done my refunds last year and this year and last year i didn't really look into it but this year.... I logged into my ird account and they had transferred the funds to My Refund LTD last monday and i followed up everyday last week since monday for them to release it but no reply, couldn't get through on the phone and when i chatted with them live they kept saying "we are sending to the manager for processing every time and it got to friday and nothing had been done. I have now followed up again and they have finally released it but have taken a large sum for their "fee" PLEASE DO NOT APPLY WITH THEM THEY ARE AN AWFUL ALTERNATIVE TO IRD."
