Hope Community Trust
About the Business
Welcome to Hope Community Trust, located at 115 East Belt in Rangiora, New Zealand. Our institution is a diverse establishment that offers a range of services including food, health, park facilities, and a point of interest. We are also proud to house a store known as the Opportunity Shop, where you can find unique clothing, furniture, and various other items.
At Hope Community Trust, our primary focus is to provide support to anyone in need, regardless of their circumstances. We understand that life can present unexpected challenges such as redundancy, illness, benefit delays, or extra bills, and we are here to lend a helping hand. Our services are not means tested, ensuring that everyone has access to the support they require.
We are committed to offering a professional, friendly, and easily accessible service that is also affordable. Our goal is to walk alongside individuals as they strive for greater wholeness, healing, and fulfillment in their lives. We approach each person with respect, taking into consideration their unique needs, beliefs, and values. Collaboration with health practitioners and other social services is an integral part of our work, as we strive to create a strong and supportive community.
One of our highlights is the Opportunity Shop, a fantastic place to find that something special. We offer a wide selection of clothes, furniture, and many other items. Feel free to browse, make a purchase, or even donate unwanted or unloved items. The shop is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, and on Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. For updates on sales and specials, be sure to follow us on our Facebook page.
Our working garden serves as a space of connection and friendship, providing a safe place of belonging for our community. It is a space where individuals can acquire new skills and gain confidence. We grow fresh produce in our garden, which is used in our food parcels and Community Kai. Every Wednesday from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm, you can pick up fresh fruit and vegetable boxes at Rangiora Baptist Church at cost price.
We have a team of dedicated Community Support Workers who ensure that every person is listened to, treated with dignity, and given as much support as possible. They provide advocacy, budgeting services, and collaborate with other organizations if necessary. Our Community Support Workers will journey with individuals until a natural conclusion is reached.
Community Kai is another initiative that we are proud of. Every Wednesday evening at 5:45 pm, individuals and families are welcome to join us for a two-course meal. A gold coin donation is appreciated, and no bookings are required.
For the men in our community, we offer a special gathering every week starting at 8:00 am, with breakfast served at 8:30 am. This is a place of connection where men can enjoy a cooked breakfast together at Rangiora Baptist Church.
Our ultimate aim at Hope Community Trust is to restore hope in individuals and families. We believe in a wrap-around care model that recognizes and addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Our institution houses a Counseling Centre, Support Workers, and a Community Garden, all aimed at providing comprehensive support.
If you have any questions or would like to get involved with Hope Community Trust, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can find us at 115 East Belt in Rangiora or contact us via PO Box 417, Rangiora, 7400. We look forward to connecting with you and making a positive impact in our community.
