Welcome to Wintec Apartments, located in the heart of Hamilton CBD, New Zealand. Our establishment is a point of interest for mature students and international students seeking a convenient and affordable shared living experience. Say goodbye to unforeseen flatting costs, as our all-inclusive accommodation covers internet, phone, power, transport, and other outgoings.
At Wintec Apartments, you'll have your own furnished bedroom, complete with a comfortable king single bed, wardrobe, desk, heater, and chairs. Each room is secured for your privacy and convenience. Gas and power expenses are already included in your accommodation fee, making budgeting a breeze.
Our four-story apartment complex features five or six bedrooms in each unit, along with shared bathroom facilities and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The basement floor offers laundry and storage facilities for your convenience. Each bedroom spans approximately 12m2, providing ample space for studying and relaxation.
Living at Wintec Apartments means being part of a vibrant community. Each level boasts a common room, and a residential assistant (RA) is available on every floor to assist you. For your peace of mind, security personnel are accessible 24/7.
We prioritize long-stay independent mature students, adult students, and international students, giving preference to those signing up for a full 44-week study year. However, shorter stays are also available for block courses at a rate of $270 per week (meals not included).
While our apartments are self-catered, you have the option to purchase a catered meal plan. These plans offer flexibility for students while ensuring caterers can plan and prepare accordingly. Our manager and residential assistants are available to assist you during office hours, and security is always on hand.
Please note that students under the age of 18 years should consider applying to the Student Village, unless they can provide a compelling reason to be considered for the apartments.
For international students applying from offshore, please use the Wintec International Centre forms to submit your accommodation application.

"Did you know its cheaper to live in an apartment in the city centre studying in Auckland? I Was going to stay here for another 3 years but its clear to me they're greedy for money, litterly everyone here is complaining about it. It's the same with the course I took, which they completely changed and didn't bother asking students if they were keen on that (they weren't). All in all its overpriced, mandatory events, they can come into your room whenever they want without permission. You have to pay $3.50 per electronic plug on top of the rent (that keeps going up). It looks & feels like a psychiatric ward, sometimes people are drunk and extremely loud on weekdays. There is no aircon whatsoever so if you're from cannada, the Arctic circle etc don't bother coming you will be boiling all day and the windows can't be open that far which further gives that fine psychiatric touch. Tbh I do feel like moving out. But it is close to town, you can walk to class just like that, good place to get off your face and meet new friends, have a shower longer than 10 minutes without your mum telling you to stop doing the haka hahahaha chur"

"If your looking for somewhere to stay when you studying at wintec then this is a really convenient place to live, just five minute to all your courses and ten minutes to the city centre it’s a great location for studying, it a bit over priced in my opinion and they keep putting the price up so if you want to save money then this probably isn’t the best, if you have a car you will also need to pay for a car parking spot with is $600 a year but you honestly don’t need a car if you live here everything is in walking distance. The facilities are very modern but the kitchens are not as well supplied everything is from Kmart and has either Brocken or is so well used it isn’t hygienic to use. The wifi is very good but there can be times where it doesn’t work or won’t connect your device. The common areas can become dirty because of the amount of foot traffic they get but are overall well equipped."
