About the Business

Welcome to Embodied Yoga, located in the picturesque town of Whangaparāoa, New Zealand. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we are dedicated to providing a transformative yoga experience for practitioners of all levels.

Our journey with yoga began in 2015, when we first discovered the beauty and power of Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. However, it was in 2018, during a life-changing trip to India with our loved ones, that our passion for yoga truly ignited. Immersed in the rich traditions and teachings of yoga, we knew we had to deepen our own practice and share this wisdom with others.

Upon returning to our home in New Zealand, we wasted no time and immediately enrolled in a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. For four months, we underwent a profound unraveling, as our hearts, bodies, and minds were cracked open to the depth and magnitude of yoga. This intensive training allowed us to fully understand and embody yoga asanas, principles, yogic philosophy, and wisdom.

In 2019, after nine months of integrating our teacher training experience, we began teaching Vinyasa Yoga. Our classes are designed to nourish and empower students, inviting them to connect deeply with themselves through breath and movement. We offer regressive and progressive options, allowing individuals to explore their bodies and find freedom in their practice.

At Embodied Yoga, we prioritize creating a safe and inclusive space for every student, regardless of their experience level. We encourage students to explore their felt experience, guiding them to be present in their bodies, conscious of their breath, and honoring whatever may arise physically, emotionally, mentally, and beyond.

Our classes are always evolving, with themes and flows organically arising from our personal experiences, practice, learning, inspiration, and intuition. We teach with integrity, drawing from our own embodied experiences and a deep love and reverence for each individual that steps onto their mat.

In our commitment to continuous growth and learning, we are currently undergoing a 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training at RAW Yoga. This further deepens our knowledge and allows us to offer an even more enriching experience to our students.
