In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we provide COVID-19 testing, vaccination, and antiviral medicine without the need for a prescription. We also offer rapid antigen tests (RATs) that can be collected on-site without pre-ordering. To ensure the safety of our community, we offer free face masks when collecting RATs, subject to availability.

Our team of knowledgeable pharmacists is dedicated to supporting the health of your family. They can provide expert advice and treatment for common minor illnesses for all ages. With their expertise, prescriptions are dispensed accurately, ensuring that the medicine and dosage are appropriate for you. We prioritize your well-being and strive to maximize the benefits you receive from your medications. Our pharmacists will help you understand the purpose of your prescriptions, how to take them, potential side effects, and proper storage methods.

Rest assured that all of our services are conducted in a professional and confidential manner. Most of our services are provided free of charge and do not require an appointment. We also offer a safe disposal service for expired or unwanted medicines, as well as needles and syringes, without any charge.

Please note that we are closed on public holidays, including King's Birthday, Matariki, Labour Day, Auckland Anniversary, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, and ANZAC Day.

For individuals with long-term illnesses who require assistance with their medications, we offer a comprehensive assessment to identify any factors that may affect medication adherence. Our pharmacists will work closely with you to address these issues and ensure that your prescription repeats are synchronized for convenient refills. Additionally, we provide a reminder service via text message, email, or phone call to notify you when your next supply of medications is ready for collection.

Our trained pharmacists can assess the appropriateness of emergency contraceptive pills (ECP) in a confidential manner. The ECP is most effective when taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse, but can be taken up to 72 hours after. Please note that there is usually a charge associated with receiving the ECP.

We also offer the supply of antibiotics for urinary tract infections, specifically nitrofurantoin or trimethoprim, without a prescription to women aged 16 to 65 who are not pregnant and do not have any complicating factors. Our pharmacists will conduct a consultation to ensure the suitability of the medication and refer you to a general practitioner if necessary.

If you require reports on your medicines or information about the cost of your medications, our pharmacy team is here to assist you.

Furthermore, we have specially trained pharmacists who can prescribe sildenafil for erectile dysfunction in men aged 35 to 70 who meet specific assessment criteria.

At Millhouse Pharmacy, we prioritize the health of our community and the environment. We encourage the responsible disposal of expired or unwanted medicines, as well as needles and syringes, to prevent harm to the environment. We offer this disposal service free of charge.

Our pharmacy also provides a service to assess and provide advice for minor health conditions such as diarrhoea, dehydration, minor skin and eye conditions, and pain or fever symptoms. Depending on eligibility, this service, including recommended medicines, may be free for Māori and Pacific people, children under 14, and their whānau members, as well as Community Services Card holders.
