"Countdown helensville is a small town countdown that relies on being the only game in town to keep the doors open. That being said it's brilliant for people watching. If you have ever seen "people of wallmart" this is the boutique version. If your after the countdown staples go here. If you need a little sum sum special it's worth popping into 4 square parakai. Those guys know their customer base."

"This has got to be one of the worst Countdowns around and unfortunately it’s my local one. I make the over an hour round trip to shop elsewhere now. The shelves always have huge gaps. I don’t think I have ever gone there and managed to get everything I need- there are always things out of stock. No deli, inconsistent bakery section. One time there were just bags and bags of croissants but no normal buns… They have nappies on special, but half the sizes are out of stock.. Even before covid, it was hit and miss. Then that was the reason for stock issues, then supply shortages. But yet other chains have said stock available. EGGS what is going on?! These have been constantly out of stock. But go to NW or PnS and they have full supply of eggs- sort it out. Countdown Helensville must be constantly forgotten when supplying stock or the staff are hopeless at keeping on top of ordering. Produce section always looks underwhelming with fruit and veg that’s seen better days. Also a lot of comments about friendly staff.. well I must get everyone on a bad day because half the time they don’t even bother to say hello or continue to talk to other staff whilst serving. It’s a shame we don’t have a decent local grocery store, because Countdown Helensville just doesn’t cut it.."

"Count down Helensville has not been stocked sufficiently since covid. Today it had no milk bread eggs. I can go into other countdowns and get what I need but not from Helensville. Come on locals start complaining so our community is better served"
