We're excited to announce that prescriptions are now free at our pharmacy. As of July 1st, 2023, the government has eliminated the $5 co-payment charge for prescriptions from approved providers. This means you can now get your fully funded medicines for free, along with access to professional healthcare and advice from our knowledgeable team.
In addition to prescriptions, we also offer consultations for minor health conditions. Our experienced staff at Unichem Hillpark Pharmacy are here to provide you with the care and advice you need for any health concerns.
As flu season approaches, it's essential to protect yourself and your loved ones. Getting a flu vaccine is one of the best ways to stay well during this time. Flu can easily spread through talking, coughing, and sneezing, so getting vaccinated is your best defense.
We also want to highlight the importance of protecting against whooping cough, especially for vulnerable individuals such as newborns and adults with existing health conditions. This highly contagious respiratory disease can be serious, but our team is here to provide the necessary vaccinations and advice to keep you safe.
Unichem Hillpark Pharmacy is proud to offer COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters. Boosters are now available to anyone 16 years and older, with 16 and 17-year-olds eligible six months after completing their primary course. All individuals aged 18 and over can receive their boosters three months after their primary course. Please check with our pharmacy for the availability of pediatric vaccinations.
To make managing your health easier, we offer the FREE Unichem & Life Pharmacy App. With this convenient app, you can order repeat prescriptions, receive medication reminders, and even manage the medications of your loved ones.
Flu vaccinations are now available at many Unichem Pharmacies across New Zealand, including some locations that can administer flu shots to children aged 3 years and older. If you have questions about influenza in children or the flu vaccine, our knowledgeable staff is here to provide answers.
For added convenience, we offer HouseCall, an online GP service that connects you with experienced doctors whenever and wherever suits you best.
In situations where contraceptive failure or unprotected sex has occurred, we understand the stress it can bring. That's why we offer emergency contraceptive pills (ECP) to help reduce the risk of pregnancy.

Reviews
"good welcome, not knowing proper english whoever they give good guidence and suppoert."
"Very poor service. Pharmacy of making money from sick. They asked me to come next day for a prescription medication. I decided to go another pharmacy. Being money minded instead of returning the prescription sheet they processed the rest of prescription as they charge $5 for every prescribed medication. Only reason I came to this pharmacy was because it was close to doctors. I knew they would charge for prescription, however since I was going to another pharmacy (chemist Warehouse) I would have got the whole medication for free. Couldn't really argue there as I was sick so just decided to pay and get out of there. Not visiting that pharmacy ever again."
"Don’t know why the grumpy old lady who sits at her desk even bothers going to work bad customer service skills and maybe needs to do a refresher course on how to speak to people"
"Helpful and pleasant staff who have been and are working under very difficult circumstances over the last few covid years, but they still provide a professional friendly service. Well done Kathy and team."
"Poor service. Owner grumpy and insisted on charging me for funded prescription meds because I had not returned business for a couple of months. Will never come back here for prescription meds or other products or services if I can avoid again."
