Reviews of Town and Country Cafe
"I was a regular customer for 3+ years and think their pies, rolls and paninis are best in Wainui. My hubby and I got roast pork dinners one night and hours later we were horribly sick and bedridden for 5 days. Hubby went to dr after 4 days of illness and was told was likely shigella bacteria which occurs from cross contamination of food prep and unhygienic food prep (not washing hands after loo etc). In retrospect we should have rung health dept! As much as I miss their pies and paninis the memory of our horrible illness physically stops me going back there."
"Brought a sausage for my son this arvo. And tbh it didnt look fresh and my son said it tasted not right. We got home from there and as soon as we made it in the door my poor son up chuck all over the floor along with the sausage he just finished consuming. Wont be buying from there again if their food is not up to standard."
"Got to love "Darlings" for what it is. If you're after some kind of fine dining, stay away! Fantastic value for money from a local place with good old school HEAVY comfort food offerings."
"Normally was a regular customer here as am local, but recently went to buy a pie and the bag was so cheap/faulty that it ripped straight in half from the weight of the pie when i put the pie into it. The pie fell onto a sticky brown stain on the counter that was very unclean. Clearly inedible. Complained to staff and they were very rude and still wanted me to pay. Never coming back here again, such poor service, bad attitudes, and clearly poor quality cleaning standards and bags."
"Good selection of basic takeaway or eat-in, nicely presented with helpful and honest staff. Prices are fair. Environment is clean and airy. We forgot to pick up one item we paid for and they reminded us on our next visit a week later :)"
