Welcome to Normandale Playcentre, a preschool education institution located in Wellington, New Zealand. As a friendly parent cooperative, we are dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education for our children. Situated in a stunning bush-like environment, our centre offers fantastic facilities and equipment that enhance the learning experience.

At Normandale Playcentre, we believe in fostering confident and self-directed learners through play-based activities tailored to each child's interests. Our children gain knowledge through active participation and positive guidance, allowing them to develop essential skills while having fun. With a high adult to child ratio, we ensure a balanced approach to group and individual support during each session.

One of the unique aspects of our centre is that all of our sessions are mixed-age, meaning children from birth to school age attend together. This inclusive environment allows older children to mentor and care for younger ones, fostering empathy and a sense of community. Parents and caregivers attend the sessions with their children, and from the age of 2.5 years, children can stay independently once they are well settled.

We strongly believe that parents and caregivers are the first and best educators for their children. Learning alongside our children, we value the importance of parent involvement and actively support the training and development of our families. Our parents play a vital role in designing and implementing our children's learning programs.
