During these challenging times, we understand the importance of COVID-19 testing and vaccination. While we currently do not provide COVID-19 testing, we can direct you to other testing services available. Additionally, we offer COVID-19 antiviral medicine without the need for a prescription.

Please note that we are closed on public holidays, including King's Birthday, Matariki, Labour Day, Auckland Anniversary, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, and ANZAC Day.

If you have a long-term illness and require support with your medications, our service is designed specifically for you. Through an assessment, we identify any factors that may affect your ability to take medication as prescribed. Our pharmacists work closely with you to address each issue, ensuring you can manage your medications effectively. We can also coordinate your prescription repeats to align with one convenient trip to the pharmacy. Additionally, we offer a reminder service via text message, email, or phone call to notify you when your next supply of medications is ready for collection.

Our pharmacy staff is trained to provide a service to help you stop smoking. This includes advice and support aids such as nicotine gum.

For added convenience, we offer compliance packaging services, repacking your medicines into blister packs or sachet rolls that specify when to take them. This packaging helps you take your medication at the right time and makes it easier to track your doses and avoid running out. It is particularly useful for travelers, eliminating the need for multiple containers.

If you require reports on your medicines or information about their cost, please don't hesitate to ask a member of our pharmacy team.

We are also proud to have trained pharmacists who can supply antibiotics for urinary tract infections without a prescription to eligible women. A consultation is conducted to ensure the medicine is appropriate, and if necessary, we will refer you to a GP.

At John Hogg Pharmacy, we prioritize the safe disposal of unwanted medicines to protect our environment. Please return any expired or unwanted medicines, as well as needles and syringes, to our pharmacy free of charge.
