Welcome to Hataitai Playcentre, a premier preschool education institution located in Wellington, New Zealand. Situated on Hamilton Road, our center is conveniently positioned near Hataitai village and Kilbirnie School, making it easily accessible via public transport (#2 and #14 bus routes) and within walking distance from local suburbs.

At Hataitai Playcentre, we have designed our facility specifically to cater to the 16 areas of Playcentre play. Inside our premises, you will find a dedicated jumping area, the peaceful Ngake room for quiet play, an adjacent infant sleeping room, a vibrant painting and collage area, a spacious family play area, and a fully equipped kitchen with kai tables to encourage communal dining experiences.

Outside, we offer a range of outdoor activities to stimulate physical development and exploration. Our expansive outdoor space features a large covered sandpit, a water pump and riverbed for water play, swings, climbing equipment, a slide, a designated bike riding area, a carpentry area, and a covered verandah. Additionally, we have well-maintained lawn and garden areas that provide ample opportunities for outdoor learning and play.

We are proud to announce that in May 2017, Hataitai Playcentre received the highest rating from the Education Review Office, placing us in the top 5-7% of all early childhood education centers nationwide. This recognition is a testament to the exceptional quality of our learning environment.
