Welcome to Child in Mind, a trusted establishment located at 300 Great South Road in Auckland, New Zealand. At Child in Mind, we specialize in providing health services for children and adolescents who are struggling with difficult feelings and behaviors, along with their whānau (family).

Nicola Jackson, our dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, is here to support you and your loved ones. Nicola is available for in-person sessions in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, and also provides telehealth services for clients based in Aotearoa NZ.

Our primary focus is on helping children and their whānau navigate through challenging emotions, behaviors, and relationships. We are deeply committed to honoring Te Titiri o Waitangi and acknowledging Māori as tangata whenua (people of the land). We approach our work ethically and confidentially, ensuring that all individuals, including those who identify as neurodiverse, rainbow, twice-exceptional, Māori, and Tauiwi, feel welcome and supported in our practice.

At Child in Mind, we base our therapeutic approach on psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy. This means that we take into account the dynamics of your child's internal world and their relationships with others, in order to provide comprehensive and effective support.

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we kindly request that you refrain from attending appointments if you or your child are unwell. This is especially important as some of our immunocompromised community members also visit our clinic. Rest assured that Nicola is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of our clients.

To accommodate your schedule, Nicola is available for appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. If you have insurance coverage with Southern Cross, please note that prior approval is required, as psychotherapy treatments may not be automatically covered.
