Reviews of Shady Acres Caravan Park
"Lady at the front desk was nice and let us check-in early. We paid for an unpowered site but got upgraded to powered because it's much drier. I think this park is a "you pay for what you get", so yes, it not a fancy Big 4, but you're also paying $33/night for a powered site compared to $45+ elsewhere. The only downside I had was the traffic noise that went straight through the camper trailers canvas."
"Staff very friendly and our cabin was clean tidy and comfortable. Amenities were also clean and tidy."
"We had a family Christmas staying at Shady Acres. It was fantastic, the amenities were clean, the swimming pool was fantastic, yes the park is dated but plenty of space and shade. We had a van site and our children had a cabin. The staff were just great as our van site was close to the cabin, very helpful and honest. Thank you for our 6 enjoyable nights staying with you"
"I stayed the night of spilt milk festival and admin was incredibly friendly and helpful. On top of this, the price of the cabin was $350 cheaper than similar ranked caravan parks in the region. I would highly recommend staying here!"
"We stayed here for two days recently at a cost of $31 per day. It was our first time here and had read good things about it. We weren't disappointed. We arrived early (before 2pm) and the manager graciously checked us in anyway, she was a pleasant lady. After telling her it was our first time out with our caravan she gave us a "drive through" site, which we greatly appreciated. It was located right at the front of the park and across from the office and main entrance. If you read other reviews, the most common comment you'll notice is that it's "aged". Yes, it's not new, bright and shiny, however, it's extremely clean, neat and tidy. What more could you ask for? The amenity block consists of men's/women's showers and toilets which were spotless and were maintained that way whilst we were there. There is also a large swimming pool which we're sure would be busy in the summer months. It was a wet and miserable weekend and pretty much poured the entire time we were there, so, we weren't able to explore the rest of the park, From what we could see, it seemed quite pleasant. The park is located on the main road heading into Ballarat and is about a 10 minute drive. There is PLENTY to see and do in the town itself. All in all, our stay at Shady Acres was a pleasant one and we've booked another stay for later in June."
