About the Business
Welcome to the Ballarat Badminton Association, located at the Ken Kay Ballarat Badminton Stadium in Dowling St, Wendouree. As an incorporated sporting club, our aim is to introduce new players to the exciting sport of badminton while also developing the skills of existing players.
At the Ballarat Badminton Association, we offer a wide range of competitions suitable for all ages. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, we have something for everyone. In addition to badminton, we also offer the popular sports of Pickleball and Indoor Floor Curling.
Our Junior Development Program, led by our expert coaches, is designed to help newcomers to the sport develop their skills both socially and in competition. We are proud to say that many of our players have gone on to achieve success in national and international badminton tournaments, with some even representing their countries in the Olympics.
One of the things that sets the Ballarat Badminton Association apart is our commitment to inclusivity and creating a welcoming environment for people of all ages. We offer weekly social and training sessions for individuals and teams, allowing players to improve their skills and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow badminton enthusiasts.
In addition to our regular activities, we also collaborate with the BAS sports program to offer school sports programs and competitions. This allows young players to develop their skills and compete against other schools in the area.
The Ken Kay Badminton Stadium, located on Dowling St in Wendouree, is our home base. With state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant atmosphere, it provides the perfect setting for players to indulge in their passion for badminton.

"Please note: I have updated their hours; however, the hours on Friday and Sunday vary tremendously and that isn't an option so please call before you go. They are CLOSED on Saturday. Clean and friendly. A great place to play Pickleball! If you have never tried the game, give it a go! You can play badminton too of course. $9 to play (equipment provided) for non members and $5 for members. Membership to the Badminton Association is reasonable and they even have concession rates."
