About EMDR Training New Zealand
Welcome to EMDR Training New Zealand, located in the heart of Wellington at The Terrace, 85. As an establishment focused on health and well-being, we are a point of interest for individuals seeking professional development and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
At EMDR Training New Zealand, we offer EMDR Institute Training, which includes supervision and case consultation for Otago University Special Topics 1 and 2. This comprehensive training program is designed to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement EMDR therapy in your practice.
One unique aspect of our training is the follow-up case consultation with an Institute Accredited Case Consultant/facilitator. Whether you have completed your Institute training with our renowned trainer, Tom Flewett, or with another trainer, you can still benefit from the expertise of our Accredited Case Consultants/facilitators. These consultations, totaling a minimum of 5 hours after each workshop, are essential for consolidating your understanding of the workshop content and gaining confidence in using EMDR therapy with your clients.
To ensure your progress is properly documented, we provide two forms that need to be completed throughout your Basic Training. The Evaluation and Consultation Sign-off Form for Part 1 and Part 2, as well as the Log Form for hours of EMDR therapy undertaken, are crucial for tracking your development. We will provide you with hard copies of these forms during your training, and electronic copies will be sent to you at various intervals. If you misplace these forms, simply click on the links provided or contact us at training@emdr.nz, and we will gladly assist you.
It is your responsibility to complete, scan, and email these forms to your Part 2 trainer. Once your case consultation and log form requirements are met, your Part 2 trainer will issue you with a Certificate of Completion of Basic Training.
For those who have conducted their consultations through Skype, we encourage you to keep a record of the dates and times of each session. After the final session, simply scan and send the form to your consultant, who can sign all sessions at once before returning it to you.
Additionally, we recommend keeping a log of your clinical hours using EMDR therapy. This log should include a short note of the date, time spent on each phase (1-8), and the content of the session. This log will assist you in tracking your progress towards the required 30-35 hours of clinical practice.
At EMDR Training New Zealand, we are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality training and support in EMDR therapy. Join us on this transformative journey and enhance your therapeutic skills to better serve your clients.
