"Wonderful place to hang out with Manu on the mend. Lots of room for improvement and development of vacant land. Work in progress... Kia Kaha BCA!!!"
"I can recommend this rescue place for injured and sick birds! The staff are compassionate and knowledgeable about saving birds. I left a pigeon there who had been attacked by a cat. Unfortunately I found out later she or he had died from the injuries, however that was no fault of theirs. The bird had been left too long before I was asked to help it! They have a smooth system which helps as many birds as is possible to survive. You need of course to take the bird there. They don't collect. They are in Greenbay, Auckland."
"Took a baby bird here that was still not strong enough to fly, turned up without calling as their website says. They are super easy to find, very friendly and professional with awesome facilities - they require a donation of your choice when bringing in an animal but they are worth every penny you can spare! Keep up the awesome work team!"
"My cat brought me a baby pigeon but in perfect condition so I called Bird are Aotearoa and a friendly staff member answered the phone saying just bring the bird. When you arrive you have a sense this is a special place . Everybody is volunteers and there is a vet on site daily. They really are passionate about helping the birds and you see that. You can give a donation if you want but its not compulsory. There is also an option to be a volunteer yourself. what a special place worth supporting and make sure it gets the funding they need to take care of the bird life. If you find a bird in need please take it to Birdcare Aotearoa and give the birds a place to heal recover and set free. So happy that too see that small at of kindness to birds go along way. Thank you for doing an amazing job."
