Welcome to the Institute of Registered Music Teachers of New Zealand (IRMTNZ) | Ako Puoro! Located in Wellington, on Wrights Hill Road, our establishment is a point of interest for all music enthusiasts in New Zealand.

As the only professional organization for private music teachers in Aotearoa New Zealand, IRMTNZ was established by an Act of Parliament. Our mission is to set high standards for teaching and support music teachers in building and maintaining successful practices for the benefit of both themselves and their students.

Music is an integral part of our lives, and at IRMTNZ, we believe that anyone can learn to make music and experience its unique rewards.
