St Brigid's School
About the Business
Welcome to St Brigid's School, a Catholic multicultural institution located in the heart of Johnsonville, New Zealand. Our school believes that every child is unique and possesses gifts and talents that shape their individuality and enable them to reach their full potential. With a collaborative and caring staff, we ensure that our students receive the best educational programs and opportunities.
At St Brigid's, we have a passion for maths and science, particularly in the field of environmental science. Our students are given ample opportunities to explore and understand the world around them through practical experiences. Additionally, we offer a wide range of music, cultural, leadership, and sporting activities to enrich our students' overall development.
Our Catholic Character is deeply ingrained in our school's values, teaching children the importance of respect, forgiveness, and kindness in their words and actions. With our vision of "learning together with strength of character and gentleness of heart," we strive to nurture future-focused, kind-hearted, and lifelong learners.
Providing a high-quality education within a caring and respectful environment is our primary goal. We firmly believe that every child can and will achieve, and that all children deserve a well-rounded curriculum. Together, as a community, we can make a significant difference in our students' learning journey.
St Brigid's School is an integrated Catholic full primary school catering to students residing in the Northern suburbs. We have a close association with the St Francis of Assisi Parish, Ohariu, which includes our three local churches: St Peter & Paul's in Johnsonville, St Andrew's in Newlands, and St Benedict's in Khandallah.
Our school crest, a modern logo inspired by the symbol of the cross of the Brigidine Sisters, represents our rich history and commitment to enhancing our Catholic character. The flame depicted in the crest symbolizes Brigid's sacred fire, which transcends beliefs, cultures, and traditions. It serves as a beacon of hope, inspiring us to become better versions of ourselves and guiding us on our journeys.
For administrative inquiries, our dedicated team consists of Lynne Candiliotis (Executive Manager) and Denise Govind (School Secretary). They can be reached via email.
